Three inspiring stories that will encourage women to challenge themselves and get out of their comfort zone.
As more women step up to challenge social prejudices, economic restrictions, and cultural prohibitions, we want to celebrate and commemorate these achievements with the world. This International Women’s Day, we want to show our support for women who have to liberate themselves against norms to achieve their own success.
Women have always been an inspiration and many of them inspire us at PAZZION for their courage to step out of their comfort zone to do something that empowers them: start their own business, follow their dreams, travel around the world and learn new skills, set an example for other women in underprivileged countries or risk their stable finances and start a new adventure.
Join us as we share inspiring stories of how women in Singapore rose and stood above all to follow their beliefs and dreams. We cast the spotlight on different modern women who possess resilience and choose to challenge themselves to follow their dreams and embark on their life’s passion and work. It’s All About Freedom
Rebecca Paranjothy and her sisters started their social start-up, Freedom Cups (@freedomcups), in 2015 to educate and encourage conversations on feminine hygiene and menstruation that many people, including women themselves, avoid talking about. They have done this by introducing a reusable menstrual cup that allows women to enjoy complete freedom, comfort, and confidence to go about their daily tasks during their menstruation cycle. In addition, with a “buy-one, give-one” business model, with every cup purchased, the founders donate one to a woman in an underprivileged community.

Twin sisters, Santhi, and Sari Tunas, were trained architects from Indonesia but relocated to Singapore and switched careers mid-way in their prime to launch their lifestyle brand, Binary Style (@binarystyle) in 2015. They specialise in creating conversational prints of uniquely vivid coloured and patterned scarves that encapsulate Singapore’s cultural heritage and natural landscape with a twist. Since then, there is no stopping this vivacious design sibling duo who have collaborated with many organisations in the public and private sectors to create various original prints on fabric and other mediums.
Fit As A Mum And More
Fitness enthusiast, Dawn Sim (@thatmomoffour), is a modern-day wonder woman who excels in her various daily roles - from being a doting mother to her four adorable children and one fur kid, managing TriumFitness, her yoga, and Pilates business, to maintaining her much-envied toned physique that radiates self-care! She is certainly an inspiration and “cheerleader” to those who are still trying to juggle and find balance in their life and lifestyle.
Different personal stories and paths inspire us and make us want to do more. All our ladies share two common features: enthusiasm, and willpower. We encourage you to follow your dreams, work hard and never give up. Stay tuned as we share their inspiring stories weekly.
