Bringing Style To The Table

Lunar New Year Fashion Inspo From

PAZZION's In-House Stylist

The time for Lunar New Year festivities has arrived again and it gives us one of the best excuses to update our wardrobes! As with any social event, you are likely to think ahead and plan what to wear for such an occasion.

For the curious and the clueless on how to dress to impress, here are four looks by PAZZION’s very own in-house stylist on bringing style to the table this Lunar New Year.

Dress Code: Red

If you are planning to do red, we say go all the way. Red is not only a striking colour that will have you stand out, but this auspicious hue will also help you score brownie points from relatives as you embrace the colour of prosperity, luck and good fortune.

Featured Styles: 4088-29 Black Pearly T-Bar Sandals

Take inspiration from the official colour of Chinese New Year and put on a ruffled red shirt dress. With a voluminous oversized silhouette, this roomy and comfortable shirt dress will hide the tummy bulge from all the festive feasting. Slip a breezy pair of Pearly T-Bar Sandals on to play up feminine sensibilities with its pearl embellishments and you’re good to go!

Accent Act

If a full red ensemble isn’t for you, opt for an outfit that features red as an accent colour instead. Be a little playful and swap out your usual staple black trousers for a statement-making spicy red piece.

Go for a looser wide-leg bottom like culottes or these bellowed bell-bottom pants that are the perfect combination of elegance and ease.

Featured Style: 658-19 Black Embellished Pointed Toe Suede Mules

Channel the androgynous vibe by pairing a white shirt and a floral corset belt apt for the spring-time festivities. Anchor the look with hyper-feminine accessories, like these slip-on Embellished Pointed Toe Suede Mules that exudes effortless glamour and elongate your legs.

Lady Versatility

Fans of the all-black rejoice! Wearing black is traditionally seen as inauspicious, but we understand the draw to wear this dark shade associated with power, sophistication and equality in current times.

The trick to getting away with re-wearing your favourite monochrome party outfit is to pair them with bright and bold accent pieces, letting the black frock take the back seat.

Featured Style: F103-6 Pink Diamante Multi Strap Crystal Sandal Heels

Look tres-chic as you throw on a fiery red tartan coat over a tulle mesh black dress for some sartorial style points, and slip on a pair of Crystal Sandal Heels that elegantly pairs with this sophisticated number. Suitable for celebrating both the spring festivities and a romantic dinner for valentines!

The Understated

Essentially a toned-down shade of the boisterous red, you can't go wrong with pink either as it still offers a cheerful touch for the festivities. With Lunar New Year coinciding with Valentine's Day this year on the third day, combine the festivity with an element of romance, which pink does well.

Featured Style: 3319-2 Pink Classic Ribbon Leather Pumps

With romantic detailing such as ruffles, pleats and a repetitive maroon print, this blush pink dress is a great conversation starter. To tie off the look with feminine flair, pair this versatile flowy dress with these Classic Ribbon Leather Pumps that feature a dainty ribbon at the vamp and set upon a comfortable block heel- perfect for all-day wear.
